Introducing the Paper Potter, this handy little tool is a DIY seedling pot maker. Simple design, effective and easy to use. Read my simple guide below on how to use a Paper Potter and maybe you might just be thinking about getting one too!
A while back my beloved wife bought me one!

She didn’t really get why I wanted one or what it really was. Many people won’t have heard of them so I wanted to post to extol it virtues, to you my wonderful visitors!
The Paper Potter in a nutshell
Make your own eco friendly seedling pots from recycled paper, that pretty much it! Although I will explain a little more…
Step 1
Purchase a Paper Potter or ask for it as a easy birthday present idea, even if you get the same strange look I did!

Step 2
Find an old newspaper open it out and tear strips about 3” wide

Step 3
Wrap strip around Paper Potter leave an overhang at the bottom.

Step 4
Tuck your bottom it! Fold the overhang under the base.

Step 5
Scrunch the Potter into the base, pushing down and twisting as though using a screwdriver.

Step 6
Slide newly made plant pot from Paper Potter and plant away!

Step 7
Once seedlings are ready for planting out keep them in the Paper pots and plant directly into the ground and the paper will naturally breakdown as compost!
