Pruning and air flow

  • Trimming any excess foliage nearer bases of plants
  • Where plants next to each other are over crowded prune
  • Don’t take too much too far up
  • Tomatoes like a bit of shade

  • Good time for some tomato feed too

Fruiting – nearly there!

  • Keep pruning as required
  • Can remove more low branches
  • Thin top for good air circulation
  • The plant puts more energy into your tomatoes.
  • Keep the tomatoes part shaded where possible to stop scorching from the sun
  • Remove any bad tomatoes

Picking
